I’m sitting in my car outside my daughter’s voice lessons sobbing as I read this...it just seems surreal that someone so healthy and fit can be hit with cancer. It doesn’t feel fair.

I remember years ago when we were 15 years younger and Meredith was so full of energy that she would go for night runs after we worked a full shift in Carbondale at a local restaurant. I was too lazy to run, so I would ride my skateboard next to her to keep her company.

Meredith is one of the most kind and giving people I know and will do anything for her friends. She took me into her parents home for months when I was going through a hard time and gave me support and friendship when I needed it most. I’ve always looked up to her as an inspiration. I know her determination and drive, and I know she can beat this and is doing the right thing in seeking a natural method of healing.

Even if you don’t know Meredith and you can spare a little of your allowance to help a wonderful person on this planet live longer, please pay it forward. I love you Meredith! You’ve got this!
