Be careful the words you use to describe who you are. Be aware of the speech you whisper deep inside yourself, like a witch casting spells.
Your strength, your tenderness and hope is listening, is feeling those words.
And over time, with each word, each sentence, each spell you cast into your heart, you weaken yourself from the very center.
Remember that beautiful little child you were, remember that hopeful tender heart, you can come back to that place and allow the essence of it to grow, you can start whispering spells, good words, kind words, forgiving words until it grows and fills you up.
Your inner voice, the one you have learnt to speak, is one of the main food sources for your growth.
Let that food be good nourishment, let it be like wild medicine weeds rather than poison.
Stop and listen to yourself. How do your words make your heart feel? How does the way you treat yourself make you feel?

“Yemaya, Blessed Mother of the Seas,
Let Your Sacred Waters wash over me.
Mother, embrace me, Your humble child.
Cleanse me, Nurture me, Sustain me.
Yemaya, Beautiful One.
You Who wears the Seven Skirts of the Seven Seas,
Swirl around me and create a flow of energy
that can wash away all bane.
Yemaya, Mistress of the Moon,
Shine Your light onto me,
And fill me with your magic.
Help me to accomplish my goals
Yemaya, Healing Ocean Mother
I ask You to fill me with Your Healing Energy
Let Your Cleansing Waters wash over me
Heal me with Your Regenerative Powers.”

On February 2nd, Yemaya/Yemanja/Yemoja, a Yorùbá Orisha or Goddess of the Living Ocean, is also celebrated.
“The name Yemoja is a shortened version of Yey Omo Eja, which means "Mother Whose Children are Fish." This name implies that She has more children than one could count, and She is indeed considered the mother of all. While She originated in Africa, Her worship has spread to many New World countries as a result of the transatlantic slave trade. She is worshiped in countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Tobago, Trinidad, Uruguay, and the U.S.”

'She sat at the back and they said she was shy,
She led from the front and they hated her pride,
They asked her advice and then questioned her guidance,
They branded her loud, then were shocked by her silence,
When she shared no ambition they said it was sad,
So she told them her dreams and they said she was mad,
They told her they'd listen, then covered their ears,
And gave her a hug while they laughed at her fears,
And she listened to all of it thinking she should,
Be the girl they told her to be best as she could,
But one day she asked what was best for herself,
Instead of trying to please everyone else,
So she walked to the forest and stood with the trees,
She heard the wind whisper and dance with the leaves,
She spoke to the willow, the elm and the pine,
And she told them what she'd been told time after time,
She told them she felt she was never enough,
She was either too little or far far too much,
Too loud or too quiet, too fierce or too weak,
Too wise or too foolish, too bold or too meek,
Then she found a small clearing surrounded by firs,
And she stopped...and she heard what the trees said to her,
And she sat there for hours not wanting to leave,
For the forest said nothing, it just let her breathe' ❤

Anti-ageing creams,
pills and potions,
anti-ageing masks,
scrubs and lotions,
put them on your skin,
to smooth away the years,
pat around your eyes,
your neck up to your ears.
And don’t forget your hands,
they will give the game away,
they show the years you’ve toiled,
they must be hid away.
Keep your body trim,
and the skin must stay elastic,
if you’ve worshipped too much sun,
you can always add some plastic,
but don’t look too ‘worked on’,
because that’s not seen as right,
your youth should be all natural,
you must fight the ageing fight.

Or

You could just go get older,
with the lines this life has carved,
the years you laughed and lived,
the years you did not starve.
Ageing is not something,
that we women should avoid,
it’s a gift of time and years,
that not all of us enjoy.
And Mother Nature knows,
the beauty of the years,
she paints us all with love,
If only we could see.
There’s wisdom in these wrinkles,
there’s starlight in our hair,
there’s evidence of growth and love,
the stories we can share.
So join me in our ageing,
let’s love the skin we’re in,
protect it, feed it, help it sure,
but let the ageing win.
Because here’s a little secret,
if you want to look alive,
acceptance of your journey,
will see your body thrive.

NOW THAT I AM OLDER

The list of things I want,
has grown smaller with every passing year.
These days, I can pretty much narrow it down to,
good health for us all,
enough money,
enough time,
enough fun,
enough adventure,
enough work,
really, just enough.

Enough.

That’s really all that I want.

The list of things I don’t want, however,
has grown bigger, a whole lot bigger.
At the top of that list comes unnecessary drama.

As I get older, I realise that I can handle pretty much any negativity or adversity life may throw my way.
But I don’t have to.
I don’t have to sign up for it all.
It’s pretty freeing.
In fact, I can cancel my subscription to anyone’s drama,
anytime I please.
And I have.

If it costs you your peace, it’s too expensive right?

Spend wisely my friend,

Life is short.

August moon arise tonight
First Fruits on the vine
New intentions in my heart
At this Lammas-time

Breathe it deep, the hallowed scent
New bread gratitude
Seed to sprout and then the wheat
My beatitude

Dear ones,

today is the Feast Day of our beloved Mary Magdalene 🌹

Five years ago the church accepted her as one of the Apostles and celebrates her day which is a great step in history.

And so I want to share some words of her with you ... 🌹

"Love exists always and everywhere!
Be open to see it, to feel it, to breathe it in -
and to let it flow again in endless circles!

There is NO limit to love! 🌹

Even if the world shows chaos all around you, tap into that infinite pool of love and spread it - wherever you go, Beloved!

Remember - love is the reason for everything! 🌹

And love means also to protect yourself and to say NO to certain situations and persons."

Feel the love ... 🌹

Painting by José de Ribera

Beyond grateful that I am allowed to teach about HER since 15 years ... 🌹
