This is an interesting time as many of you already know & cosmically it’s no different. On April 25th, Pluto, the planet of power, transformation, death & rebirth stationed retrograde in Capricorn until Oct 4th. This week we had 3 additional planets station retrograde...
May 11th - Sept 29th, Saturn retro in Aquarius/Capricorn - the task master, planet of boundaries, structure, discipline & authority
May 13th - June 25th, Venus retro in Gemini - planet of love, beauty, romance, divine feminine, money, pleasure & attraction
May 14th - Sept 12th, Jupiter retro in Capricorn - the happy planet, planet of luck, growth, abundance, optimism & expansion
When a planet stations retrograde, we are being asked to slow down & rather than focus our energy outwards, instead we are asked to turn inwards. It’s a time to review, rethink & reflect. Saturn retrograde asks us to reflect on what we’ve learned about our boundaries, our limits, & our responsibilities in the world; Jupiter retrograde asks us to take a break from restless expansiveness, & reflect on our intellectual & spiritual growth instead; Pluto retrograde asks us to dive below the surface & better acquaint ourselves with our deepest subconscious & shadow self.
When the bigger, slower moving planets station retrograde, the impact is felt but not as intensely as when the closer, faster moving planets station retrograde such as Mercury, or in this case Venus.
Venus retro asks us to assess who we love, whether our relationships are healthy, what we value, & how we handle spending money. It’s traditionally not a good time to start or end a relationship. It’s a time to reflect on what you truly value & in what ways can you bring more love into your life. Since Venus is dancing in the sign of Gemini, the duality, ambiguity & two sides we sometimes feel will be highlighted as will how we communicate our love.
Venus stations retrograde once every 18 months & transits the same sign once every 8 years. It’s the rarest & most intensely felt. Interesting fact, less than 10% of people are born with Venus in retrograde. My natal Venus happens to be Venus in Gemini retrograde. Looking back to May/June 2012 & May/June 2004, the last two times Venus was retro in Gemini will give you insight into this transit.
Here’s what I loved learning about all of this, over the course of 8 years as Venus transits & has 5 retrograde cycles it creates a 5 pointed star. As seen from Earth, it creates a beautiful image in the sky - the sacred geometry symbol of the Seed of Life, the basis for all of creation. An embryo follows the same evolution. Believe or not believe, that’s just fu***ng magical beyond belief!!!
This isn’t a time to resist & continue to push your energy outwards. Surrender to the flow & allow yourself the necessary time for going inwards for reflection, as needed. As a global collective, this time we are being given to reflect & reset is very much inline with all of the cosmic events for 2020. Snake & Phoenix energy are powerful allies to call in during this time. Like a snake shedding its skin, when we flow & allow this process to be what it’s meant to be, the transformation will always be for our highest good.
