Stuck in traffic, a woman gripped the wheel, frustrated by the standstill. She had places to be, things to do. But as she sat there, she noticed something—people in other cars laughing, a dog sticking its head out the window, the sunset painting the sky in hues of gold and pink.

The road wasn’t moving, but life still was.

Sometimes, we get so focused on where we’re trying to go that we forget to notice the moments happening right now. Even in life’s “traffic jams,” there’s beauty if we take the time to look for it.

The more you push your body into that uncomfortable zone, the more fat you’ll burn—both during and after your workout.Try adding short bursts of high intensity into what you’re already doing. For example, if you’re on the treadmill, sprint for 20 seconds, then walk for 40. Lifting weights? Add supersets or reduce rest time between sets, and be sure to work toward failure every set. These changes keep your heart rate elevated, torching fat more effectively. Consistency is key, but intensity gets results.
