Part of our ongoing dedication to being responsive to patient needs and learning what works for our patients and what doesn't work involves providing regular opportunities for our patients to submit feedback on all facets of our Clinic care and operations. We believe that feedback is an important part of growth and change and are grateful to have the opportunity to evolve and also celebrate the hard work of our extraordinary patients and team.

*De-identified feedback is shared with permission of patient

GC Patients, you inspire us every day! Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. 💚

💚 Happy Patient Recognition Week! 💚
What a fun week! We'll be sharing some testimonials from our current patients this week along with words of gratitude for our patients from our team. 🤗
We treasure the relationships we build with our patients and the work we’re able to do at the Gaudiani Clinic. When Dr. Gaudiani founded the Gaudiani Clinic in 2016, she envisioned a space where medical care could be delivered in a more thoughtful, patient-centered way.
In honor of our incredible patients, we’ve committed to doing things differently than the traditional medical model to better serve those in our care. Our priorities include small patient panels, readily available appointments, a dedicated and highly experienced team, a collaborative approach to care, and a commitment to embracing innovation. We are deeply grateful for the work we get to do and for the trust our patients place in us every day.

We took some new staff photos this fall and are excited to share them along with some fun (and some serious!) facts. Let’s meet Dr. Das!

Dr. Das is one of our incredible physicians who sees patients both virtually across the country and in-person at our Denver office. She is trained in pediatrics, preventive medicine, and public health. She’s also been personally trained by the experiences of life’s mountains, hills, valleys, and oceans. These trainings have led her to understand that to truly help someone is to understand them. She feels that the Gaudiani Clinic creates space for her to do just that: see and care for the whole person.

Q: What motivates or inspires you in your work?
A: Truly knowing that I am making a difference for peace in this topsy turvy world.

Q: What’s something unique, fun, or surprising about you?
A: I played college tennis for the University of Chicago. I’m also really good at fixing things and putting things together.

Q: Coffee or tea order?
A: Green matcha tea

Q: Food likes?
A: Pizza, sushi, Indian food, Thai food

Q: Describe yourself in three words.
A: Compassionate, inquisitive, fierce

Q: Other fun facts?
A: I lived in an ashram in India amongst the tea plantations in the Western Ghats of South India. I would love to walk around the world one day on foot, seeing and feeling the groundedness of the earth.

Q: What’s your favorite part of the work day?
A: Seeing and talking to patients and collaborating with the team to get them the care they need.

Q: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received about work or life?
A: Find a job where your brain and heart are aligned with what you do and can thrive.

We're so grateful to have Dr. Das on the Gaudiani Clinic team! We're also putting her on speed dial for all future construction projects.

Hi all! Krista Erickson, LPC, Gaudiani Clinic's director of intake, here. I'm excited to share that we'll be accepting applications for discounted care on starting on Sunday (2/1!) through the end of February. This will be the first of three discounted care application cycles for 2026, and we hope folks will take advantage of this wonderful opportunity through the Aaron's Gift nonprofit foundation to potentially receive significantly discounted care with us. One of the biggest joys of the book publishing process is talking with others about it! We were so happy to have Dr. Gaudiani speak with AKA Caise Rode McHale on her podcast, Eating Disorder Spotlight. Their jam-packed conversation ranged from book updates to GI issues to longstanding eating disorders to trauma to self-compassion (and more!), all in less than an hour (phew)! Thank you, Caise, for the great conversation!

The clock is ticking closer to 2026, and we're counting down some of our favorite moments from 2025. Here are our top 5 things we're feeling EXTRA grateful for this year:

🥳 Time spent together as a team! Whether it was our annual retreat (📸) or our daily lunches, we shared a lot of laughs and twinning outfits. (📸)
🤗 Time spent with other professionals in our field. All of our physicians presented at various conferences and events this year! We loved meeting folks from around the country and spending extra time with lovely providers in Austin (📸), Nashville, Palm Springs, Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, Phoenix, Tulsa, Raleigh-Durham, and, of course, Denver. We also hosted numerous professional consultation groups with providers from all over the world!
🧠 Lots of learning and teaching opportunities. Providing educational outreach is a top value of the Gaudiani Clinic as is receiving continuing education for our team. We learned so much from the conferences we attended like the outstanding first in-person BIPoC Eating Disorders Conference in Houston (📸) and received extra training on many topics such as MCAS, menopause, autonomy-centered care, complex digestive issues, and the impact of GLP-1s.
📚 The completion of writing and the release (📸) of Sick Enough 2! We welcomed SE2 a month ahead of schedule and look forward to continuing to celebrate and share more from this fully updated and expanded edition!
💚 Our patients! We are so grateful for the honor of working with and walking alongside each and every one of you! We have a box of quotes in our cozy wraparound room at our Denver clinic, and sometimes our patients like to pull quotes while they're in the office. This beautiful Nootka song lyric (📸) was recently pulled by a dear patient, and we think it's a wonderful quote to keep in mind as we welcome a new year.

🎉 Here's to 2026! 🎉

Happy December from the Gaudiani Clinic! We enjoyed some extra team time this week with a fun evening full of holiday letter writing for the organization, a delicious and lively team happy hour (though missing the in-person presence of our wonderful Drs. Lischke and Das), and predictably, some holiday outfit twinning. We’ll be sharing some of our favorite moments from 2025 in these final days of the year, and look forward to sharing some great new content in 2026!

Highlighting some of Colorado's beauty as we begin a new week. December is known to be a busy month, with a sense of finality as the year comes to a close. We’re reminding our patients that consistent self-care—nourishment, sleep, medical care, boundaries, therapy, and whatever it is that makes your heart happy—is one of the best things you can give yourself, starting now and into the new year.

12/03/2025

One of the big changes in the second edition of Sick Enough was a restructuring of content to have the chapter on weight stigma and weight-inclusive care be the very first thing people read after the introduction. One of the primary reasons for this is the belief that weight stigma, or the social rejection and devaluation of those who don't conform with prevailing body weight and shape norms, forms a major part of the foundation upon which eating disorders are built. The toxic tentacles of this stigma touch many aspects of life, including how medical care is delivered and the snap judgements people have about what a "healthy" and an "unhealthy" body might look like.

While the negative impacts of weight stigma are better understood and represented in the eating disorder community than in the past, there is still work to be done, and we hope SE2 can be part of the ongoing shift. Our team is proud to offer weight-inclusive care to all of our patients throughout the country, whether they have an eating disorder or are seeing us for primary care, and to continue to do the work for ongoing growth and understanding.
