Blah, Blah, Blah … Not!

Blah, Blah, Blah is all that was heard
As he was ridiculed … Called a nerd
No one around was willing to listen
They thought of him as quite absurd

Pervasive Developmental Disorder, they said
To his parents these words carried anguish and dread
But whenever he heard any song or tune
A Eureka spark would enter his head

Forward a minute … 15 years later
A gifted performer at the local theater
No longer the butt of jokes a plenty
A star on Broadway, he was much greater

Piano and music lessons, the key to success
Learning to put lyrics to music, and impress
Auditioning led to roles then fame
As he became more, his haters grew less

While symptoms will often wax and wane
Quite often, Autism is hard to explain.
But with the right therapies, guidance and faith
It’s amazing how that re-wires one’s brain

Babies, Barbies and Coffee.
The baby 👶🏻 woke up cooing and babbling. The mama stirred from her sleep hurried to nurse the little one. Meanwhile dad watched the coffee pot simmer. The twins 👯 were already up and giggling as they played with their Barbies. Henry the cat 🐈 on guard from a distance, observing through sleepy eyes. Meanwhile the sun ☀️ was trying to find its way through the clouds ⛅️ . Dad joined mom in the baby’s room with two coffees ☕️ in hand. It’s the beginning of a perfect 👌🏼weekend 🙏🏼☀️🙌🏼. WEN (2025)
