Heartmind Medicine was born of conversation with a wise mentor. A decade ahead of its time. A decade, seemingly, late. But actually, right on time. I needed time to grow, create, separate, grieve, serve, question, study, sit, and finally arrive.
Our health care system, is no system, and certainly not about health, or care. Our cultural paradigm oft denies that we have heart, pulse, lifeblood, spirit, soul... We are generally, but not necessarily, cogs in the machine that values our labor, but not our dreams; values our compliance, but not always our radical ability to create; values our service, but not our innate need to be in caring community.
