Jeffco Commissioners Tina Francone, Casey Tighe and Libby Szabo proclaimed May 2018 to be Older Americans Month in Jefferson County.

During Older Americans Month, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners reaffirms their commitment to supporting older adults as they take charge of their health, explore new opportunities and activities, and contribute richly to Jefferson County. This year, the Seniors' Resource Center celebrates 40 years of service supporting older adults through three locations in Jefferson County.

Colorado’s First Judicial District Attorney’s Office provides thousands of older adults with crime prevention information via safety seminars each year and Jefferson County Dept. of Human Services' Aging Well Project continues to provide vital information to older adults with a focus on continuing inclusive, livable communities. The Jefferson County Council on Aging maintains important work securing federal Older American’s Act funding utilized for integral senior services in the county.

Together, Jefferson County continues to provide the services necessary to assist older Americans in enhancing their lives, and in turn, the quality of our community as a whole.
