It was a full, magical, enriching experience: a time for learning, wandering among remnants of an ancient civilization, making new friendships, rekindling old ones, sharing our understanding of this profound approach to life that we call “Jungian psychology.” It was an experience to treasure. A breathtaking Total Lunar Eclipse is on the way, and it will transform the Moon from its usual bright white into a deep, glowing copper-red “Blood Moon.” The best part? The total eclipse will last 58 minutes—nearly a full hour of celestial drama.

Why does the Moon turn red?

During totality, sunlight reaching the Moon first passes through Earth’s atmosphere. The atmosphere scatters blue light and bends red wavelengths toward the Moon, bathing it in a warm, eerie glow.
In a way, the Moon is lit by every sunrise and sunset on Earth happening at once.

Farewell to our beloved colleague and friend, the brilliant, creative, and wise Bernice Hill. She authored four books, several essays and articles, and she mentored students and training candidates through our programs for decades. She will be greatly missed.

🇲🇽 Friends of the podcast at the C.G. Jung Institute of Colorado are holding a seminar in Mérida, in the heart of the Yucatán Peninsula.

The seminar will include excursions to the ancient sacred sites of Chichén Itzá and Uxmal.

The keynote speaker/seminar leader is NANCY SWIFT FURLOTTI, whose book on Mayan mythology, The Splendor of the Maya: A Journey into the Shadows at the Dawn of Creation, is forthcoming this fall.

Co-presenters are Lourdes Albarran and John Todd. Lara Newton will lead morning meditations during the seminar.
