🎗️ April is Month. This month we're recognizing the nuclear weapons and uranium workers who were exposed to harmful substances throughout their careers, often without being fully informed of the dangers.
Head and neck cancers are among the illnesses covered under the Special Exposure Cohort (SEC). For workers who qualify, this designation means they are presumed to have been exposed to radiation at certain nuclear facilities, allowing them to access federal medical benefits and compensation through EEOICPA, meaning you don’t need to go through the dose reconstruction process.
If you or a family member worked in the nuclear or uranium industry, learn more about benefits that may be available: https://tinyurl.com/msyf7apt
