As a sibling to an adult with I/DD, I know firsthand how daunting the future can feel as our siblings’ current primary caregivers age. In all transparency, it is absolutely not a pleasant topic to think or talk about, and that is why having a supportive network of others in similar positions has been so beneficial. 💙 I encourage other siblings to join us- even adding yourself to the email list will hopefully begin to provide you with a sense of comfort that you are not alone. In order to continue to forward-think about what’s best for our siblings, we have begun to invite professional speakers to our meetings to expand our education about adult services and aim to continue to participate in advocacy actions for our siblings’ care. I am grateful for this community and am excited to watch it grow. Feel free to DM me with any questions you may have. -Keri
