As tradition, we honor the loved ones we have lost throughout the year at our funeral home during this special season.
We hang a snowflake ornament with your loved one’s name on our Remembrance Christmas Tree which can be seen in the funeral home window. No two snowflakes are alike, just as you and your loved one is unique. Each of our grieving experiences is also unique. Do you remember when you tried to catch one of those big fluffy snowflakes, to see if they were shaped differently before they melted? In terms of eternity each of the lives we honor and, even our own lives, can be compared to that snowflake. So quick to form, then fall, only to melt and pass from our midst as quickly as it came.
Additionally, to honor your loved one, you will see a Ring of Candlelight (a lit candle in honor of each family we have helped this year) as you pass Our Home on Christmas Eve. We honor those who we shall never forget. We remember those who have touched our lives in such a way that we will never be the same, we are changed simply for having known them. We shall always be indebted for what they have given us, thankful for what they have shown us, and grateful for the ways they have blessed our lives. Let us remember our loved ones by memorializing our relationships in candlelight and love.
