Some goodbyes aren’t really goodbyes, they’re just the start of a new chapter. 🐾💙

Ghost has officially begun his retirement at the Warrior Dog Foundation in Texas. This moment is bittersweet. My husband and Ghost shared a bond and connection that only a handler and his K9 truly understand. Seeing him at a place where we know he will be honored and cared for means more than words can say.

A huge heartfelt thank you to Talley Woodmark for helping secure his spot at the Warrior Dog Foundation and ensuring our boy found his rightful place among fellow warriors.

Here’s to the end of one mission and the beginning of another, and a life of peace for the dog who gave us his all.

Today marks the end of an era. 🖤

K9 Ghost has officially retired from service and is heading to Texas to start his well-earned next chapter at the Warrior Dog Foundation, accompanied by his partner and handler, my husband.

From long Oregon nights on patrol to the unwavering loyalty he’s shown every step of the way, Ghost has more than earned his rest (and probably a few extra steaks).

We’re beyond proud of his years of service and grateful for the bond he and my husband shared through every call, every mile, and every mission.

Here’s to wide-open fields, warm weather, and maybe the occasional belly rub — if he lets you without losing a finger. 😉

Oregon will always be home but Texas, please don’t turn him into a Cowboys fan. 😂🐾
