We were honored to attend the first-ever Teal Horizons Conference — a powerful gathering focused on the past, present, and future of gynecologic cancer thrivers and their caregivers.

Hosted by Yale New Haven Health, Smilow Cancer Hospital, Yale Cancer Center, and Discovery to Cure, the day was filled with insightful keynote speakers, educational breakout sessions, and meaningful conversations centered around healing, support, and life beyond a cancer diagnosis.

We heard an inspiring keynote from Dr. Ellen Lewis on the benefits of integrative and naturopathic medicine alongside traditional cancer care, and powerful insights from Dr. Elena Ratner on treating not just the disease, but the whole person throughout the cancer journey.
Sessions explored topics like cancer education, nutrition, mental wellness, oncology-safe massage, and practical ways caregivers can support their loved ones through treatment and survivorship.
Events like this are such an important reminder that healing is not meant to happen alone. For those walking the cancer journey — whether as a thriver, survivor, or caregiver — taking care of your mind, body, and spirit is so important.

At In-Home Angels, supporting families through life’s most challenging moments is incredibly close to our hearts. We are grateful to continue learning, growing, and being part of a community that reminds us all that compassion, care, and connection truly make a difference.

With spring on the rise, we decided to bring a little sunshine and warmth early last week in honor of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. ☀️💙

Members of our team — CEO JoBeth Foley and Community Outreach Manager Megan Julian — delivered 40 pizzas to the wonderful participants at Changing Images Adult day Center in Stratford. St. Vincent's Special Needs Services This program provides individuals with developmental disabilities opportunities for socialization, engaging activities, mental stimulation, and participation in community outings.

As we continue working more closely with the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services, we feel grateful for the opportunity to learn from and support these amazing members of our community. Every day they remind us how important connection, inclusion, and celebration truly are.

A big thank you to Casa Bianca Stratford for generously donating additional pizzas to help us share the love. 🍕

💗 March 3rd is Triple Negative Breast Cancer Awareness Day.

At In-Home Angels, this day is deeply personal.

Our founder, JoBeth Foley, was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in 2017. After facing her diagnosis with incredible strength and resilience, she was declared in remission — and today, she continues to thrive.

This is the face of strength.
This is the face of resilience.
This is the face of someone who chose to turn adversity into purpose.

Her journey didn’t just shape her story — it shaped our mission. JoBeth has dedicated her life’s work to helping those in need and raising awareness around breast cancer and all cancers. Her experience fuels the compassion and advocacy that define In-Home Angels.

Today, we honor the fighters.
We celebrate the survivors.
We remember those we’ve lost.
And we stand beside every individual and family navigating this journey.

Valley Business Network Chairwoman and life coach Christine Daniels joined us as a guest speaker at the Women in Networking Group last Tuesday, and it was truly inspiring.

We spent the morning reflecting, dreaming big, and mapping out our 2026 business and professional goals—visualizing what we want and identifying the steps to get there.

Happy New Year from the Greater Valley Chamber and the Valley Business Networking Group! 🎉

We kicked off our first meeting of the year bright and early at 7:45 AM sharp. (We meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month at the same time!)
Today’s meeting was a productive one—discussing our business goals and aspirations for 2026, reviewing the benefits of membership, and setting expectations for the year ahead.
