Our friends at Seize Your Future are dedicated to providing scholarships for students living with epilepsy, helping ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed in school and beyond 📚

Founded by local advocate Niomi Ndirangu, Seize Your Future was created from her own journey with epilepsy. After facing challenges in school, she turned her experiences into a mission to support and empower other students navigating similar paths.

The Society of Child Entrepreneurs is all about helping kids build confidence, leadership, and real world skills through hands on learning 💼

Through workshops, mentorship, and real life projects, kids learn the basics of business like planning, marketing, budgeting, and teamwork. It is all about learning by doing and building skills that last a lifetime ✨

They are also hosting the Riverfest Children’s Business Fair on Sunday, May 31st, where young entrepreneurs get to run their own booths, sell products or services, and interact with real customers in a fun and supportive environment. Our poor dino friend was struck by lightning last night 💔

Stop by today to say goodbye to Sauroposeidon and show some love and support to our Derby landmark, Field Station: Dinosaurs.

The park will be open today from Noon to 5 PM !

Hope to see you all on May 30 at Celebrate Kayven, where you can still enjoy the rest of the park along with vendors, free books, games, crafts, food trucks, cookies and yes, dinosaurs 🦖💜

Let’s show up for a place that has brought so much adventure and joy to our community.

The Field Station will be open today from Noon-5pm as we pay our last respects to Sauroposeidon (2018-2026), the longest animatronic dinosaur ever built, destroyed last night by a bolt of lighting.

Latchkey is a before and after school program for K 5 students in USD 260, with a summer program open to all K 5 students ☀️

They provide a safe, fun, and engaging environment where kids can learn, play, and build friendships outside of the school day ✨

This one is especially meaningful to us, as Kayven loved Latchkey and spent many summers and after school days there ❤️
