Today, we join our community in honoring the life and legacy of Dr. David Niederee, a founding member of our hospital and a steadfast advocate for compassionate, community-centered care.

Dr. Niederee was an exceptional physician whose dedication, kindness, and leadership helped shape the early vision of this hospital. He cared deeply for the people of Derby and devoted his life to serving families, supporting local athletes, and uplifting those around him. His influence touched countless lives, and his example continues to inspire all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

To his family, his colleagues, and everyone whose life was brightened by his service, we extend our heartfelt condolences. Please know that our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

Dr. Niederee’s legacy of compassion and commitment will continue to live on in this community he loved so dearly. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.

🇺🇸 McConnell Community Cares Drive 🤝
At Rock Regional Hospital, we’re proud to stand beside those who serve our country. Through our Business Development Manager, Mandy, who serves as an Honorary Commander with the 184th Medical Group at McConnell Air Force Base, we’ve partnered to support the airmen and families of the 184th Wing of the Air National Guard.

As many members navigate financial challenges during the current government shutdown, we’re collecting donations to help stock their new on-base food pantry and provide essentials for their families.

💙 What’s Needed:

Non-expired, non-perishable food items
Hygiene supplies (including feminine products)
Diapers, wipes, and other baby essentials 👶

📦 Donations can be brought to Rock Regional Hospital’s main entrance, where you’ll find the McConnell Community Cares Drive box.

At the same time, our Derby Operation Holiday collection table will be set up across from it — giving our community two ways to give back this holiday season. 🎁

Together, we can lift up our neighbors, friends, and the men and women who dedicate their lives to serving others. 💫

🎃 Congratulations to our 2025 Pumpkin Decorating Champions — Pre-Op/PACU! 🎃

It was a close race, but our creative Pre-Op/PACU team drove off with the win in true Scooby-Doo style with their Mystery Machine pumpkin! 🚌💨🕵️‍♀️

Every department showed incredible creativity and we loved seeing everyone get into the Halloween spirit. 👻🎨

A huge shoutout to everyone who participated and voted — you made this year’s contest a blast! 💜🧡
