🧠 A can shift from silent to serious in moments, which is why knowing the warning signs matters.

Brain aneurysms may develop without symptoms, making it important to pay attention to changes in how you feel. A sudden, severe headache is the most common warning sign and should never be ignored. Acting fast can make all the difference.

Each year, hospitals across our broader HCA Healthcare network provide care for approximately 12,000 patients with aneurysms and perform more than 3,000 procedures — supported by advanced tools to help deliver the best possible outcomes.

If you have aneurysm risk factors or concerns, talk with your doctor. If you experience a sudden, severe headache, don’t wait. Call 911 immediately. Know where your nearest emergency room is before you need it: https://bit.ly/4th2lYS

“The Parkland team saved the day and the start of the rest of our lives together.”

Just days before flying to Jamaica for his wedding, Tom Mahan learned he had a large and potentially life-threatening blood clot in his leg. What started as lingering pain from an Achilles injury turned out to be deep vein thrombosis (DVT). After seeking a second opinion, Tom went to Parkland’s freestanding Plaistow Emergency Room where the clot was confirmed. Just five days before his flight—he underwent a successful DVT thrombectomy at Parkland Medical Center.

The Parkland Center for Cardiology team celebrated one year of providing cardiac pulsed field ablation (PFA) treatment for patients, which involves a non-thermal method of ablation by using a catheter to deliver short bursts of high electrical energy to affect the heart tissue that causes AFib. Led by David Chang, MD, Cardiovascular Specialists of New England, our cardiology team has been able to treat many patients experiencing chronic Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) and helping get them back to what they enjoy doing.

💙💚 Living donation makes it possible for healthy people to donate a kidney, part of their liver and certain other organs and tissues, helping others receive the transplants they need as soon as possible. According to the Organ Procurement & Transplantation Network, the number of living donor transplants has continued to grow in recent years, with more than 7,000 taking place nationwide in 2025 alone.

HCA Healthcare, our broader network of care, is a leading provider of living donor kidney transplants, performing 352 of these transplants last year. In total, our caregivers performed 1,324 organ transplants in 2025.
