Full Circle Recovery's Corrections Recovery Coaching Program (CRCP) team has been invited to join the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy each month to speak directly with jail school participants about our lived experiences inside jail. Tracy Gryp, Director of the CRCP and Marlena Hemphill, CRCP Coordinator, shared what it actually feels like to navigate substance use and incarceration along with what helped and what didn’t. This new partnership is creating space for conversations that can shape how future officers understand and respond to the people they serve.

Something BIG is happening at Full Circle Recovery in Des Moines…and we can’t keep it a secret much longer!

💙 We’ve been working behind the scenes on something special…
💛 And here’s a hint: it involves a NEW BUILDING for the RCC!

We’ll be sharing a few sneak peek photos here 👇 as we get started.

Over the next couple of months, we’ll be working hard on renovations to create a welcoming, safe space for our recovery community.

📣💙💛 We are excited to announce the launch of our new REACH (Rapid Engagement And Community Health) program in partnership with the Des Moines Fire Department! https://www.dsm.city/news_detail_T21_R461.php

REACH pairs peer recovery coaches with paramedics to respond to both urgent medical needs and ongoing recovery support for individuals who have experienced an overdose, as well as those seeking help for opioid use disorder and other substance use disorders.

REACH is funded by Polk County’s Opioid Settlement Fund.

On November 12, our team came together for an all-staff training focused on strengthening how we show up for the people we serve. Huge thanks to Breanne Ward of ForWard Consulting, LLC for guiding thoughtful conversation, reflection, and practical tools to help us provide more respectful, trauma-informed, person-centered support. We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn together, grow as a team, and discuss ways we can enhance our connections with recoverees, volunteers, and community partners. 💙💛💙💛
