I help people through body tempering, a soft tissue mobilization strategy used for priming the body for movement, reducing tightness, increasing range of motion, and helping reduce pain caused by dysfunctional movement/postural patterns.

Ahhhhh the traps. I feel like this spot is an all time favorite for most clients. Sometimes just throwing some weight on this spot is just enough to chill people out and put them in a relaxed state.

Thanks for getting some work done today. Keep training hard and being consistent and you’ll continue to grow so much in powerlifting 😃

DM me if your traps need some love ❤️

Take advantage of this opportunity to try body tempering if you’ve been on the fence!
Body tempering is a soft tissue mobilization technique using weighted tools and applying deep sustained pressure to the muscles of the body. Each session is catered to each person depending on which areas are needing attention.
After your session you may notice:
🔹decreased pain
🔹increased range of motion
🔹being in a more relaxed state of being (parasympathetic response)

Was privileged to work on yesterday for a solid hour session. She competed in her second strongman competition and totally killed it and took first place!
We did a full body session with emphasis on her upper back for migraine relief, and her low back.
Tempering can have a tremendous impact on migraines and headaches— a lot of the time restriction in the upper trapezius/levator scapulae/scalenes contributes to tension headaches. Soft tissue release along with postural awareness can help fight those pesky headaches/migraines.
DM me if you struggle with headaches and migraines and would like to see if tempering can help YOU!

Fun session today with .tography515 addressing some left bicep pain. The repetition from our jobs can be the culprit of a lot of nagging aches and pains.
We attacked his left pec major/minor first to reduce pressure in the left glenohumeral joint, then subscapularis, and then worked towards the bicep and forearm. After that addressed the mid/upper traps, rotator cuff, triceps, and lat.
A lot can be accomplished in a 30 minute session 🙂

DM me if you have questions about body tempering and how it could help you!

Got a lot accomplished in this 30 minute session with . He started coming to me a few weeks ago to address some upper/ lower back tightness. He’s been awesome with routine sessions to get his back feeling 💯 again, along with seeing Dr. Logan 👏

Our focus this session was lower body, and it was incredible to see how much tension was sitting in his IT bands 🤯 his relief afterwards was instant, and he keeps coming back for more 😃

Thanks John!

DM me to book your session! 👊🏻

Sunday funday with .bailey who decided to try tempering for his first time to get ready for the UPA GHOST STRONG PRO AM powerlifting meet March 26 & 27th 💀
We had some fun digging into his low back/hip/knee complexes to get things released in order to create more stability for his right knee. Of course my video cut off right as I started working on his right side 🙈
His squat session the following day was solid, he’s a prime example of if you take care of your body you’ll reap the benefits.
If you’re looking for something to do the weekend of March 26th, go to Dubuque IA to watch some strong lifters 💪 Pro day is the 26th, amateur day is the 27th!

Solid second session this morning with . This lady is a rockstar, she competed in her first powerlifting meet a couple weeks ago (and crushed it) and his hungry for more gainz 💪
She drives to DSM once a month for in person coaching with and also now for her temper sessions. She understands that strength sports create tightnesses in certain areas of the body over time, and recognizes that body work helps reduce that.
Keep working hard Valinn! You’re killing it 😁🎉

One of my chiropractic patients came to get tempered for his first time, he’s been dealing with tight calves/Achilles for as long as he can remember. Routine pelvic, ankle, and foot adjustments have been helping him immensely but the deep pressure of tempering was icing on the cake for him. Along with my lower body protocol, I started him with 50 pounds on his calves hitting the gastrocnemius and soleus muscles, and then some target tempering in the arches of his feet. Needless to say, he was walking on clouds at the end of his session 😊

If you have “fallen arches,” flat feet, “tight ankles,” or work a job that requires standing on concrete/hard surfaces, your calves and feet may be tighter than you think 🤔 limited mobility can hinder your overall stability, and standing is something we all do from time to time 😉

DM me to schedule a session! Your feet will thank you 😁

For client positioning we use Donnie Thompson’s Abmat to attain the best angles for targeting muscle groups with the tools. For some clients creative adjustments must be made, as this experience should be as comfortable as possible. Clients will be positioned face down, face up, or lying alongside the mat depending on what regions of the body are being addressed.

As for the tools being used to do the actual tempering, there is a wide array of options. Primarily the Rogue DT rollers are used (weighing 50lbs, 80lbs, 110lbs) for larger muscle groups. For smaller muscle groups the Kabuki strength boomstick is great for more targeted pressure in tighter areas (weighing around 20 pounds). For even smaller areas (such as subscapularis) the Rogue MobilityWOD stick is ideal to dial in pressure (weighing around 5lbs).

Here is my current availability for body tempering:
Mondays/Wednesdays 2PM-7PM
Saturdays 1PM-4PM
Sundays 10AM-4PM

I offer 15, 30, 45, 60, and 75 minute sessions. Message for pricing, regular chiropractic patients receive a discount off of regular pricing

I also have a 24 hour cancellation policy, meaning if you schedule a session with me and cancel within 24 hours of that session, the full cost of the service will be expected (excluding extenuating circumstances).
