Accidentally pulled on my tubing tonight and having pain with it now. .. been sitting in the E.R per my DR. For almost 5 hrs. CT scan shows, Drain 1 is getting removed.. thank goodness! No fluid pocket for drain 1 and minimal for drain 2.

SHORT TERM DISABILITY & INSURANCE..
For plastics: make sure you guys pay attention. I haven't been at my job for a year so my job opened up an investigation on me for my short-term disability and said that I didn't qualify for it because I had a consultation a few months prior to me starting my new job with The hospital. If you get a consultation prior to having surgery or had any type of treatment it is considered a pre-existing condition , short-term disability will try to fight it so they don't have to pay out. If you have not been at your job at least a year. Now I'm trying to challenge it and I'm freaking out. So please check into things with your insurance carefully before getting your consultation I have BCBS. Otherwise they do have really good coverage

He’s my best tip for the ride home! Take pain meds about 30 to 45 minutes prior to leaving the hospital or home and for follow up appointments if your still having pain otherwise U will feel every bump .. every time I move my hips still hurt! By the time I got in the house and laid down, I would be so happy. . The pillows I had used to protect my incision only helped when I put light/med pressure against them for each ride.

After surgery clothes :

Dresses were good. I also wore shorts and t-shirts /tank tops and just pinned my bulb to the bottom of my shorts on the inside.

Just checking in to I.C hospital hoping to get 1 or both tubes removed today. Waiting for my CT scan now to see if or how much I may have for fluids in my stomach. Hopefully both will go!

The swelling in my left side ..feet, legs & thigh are terrible. My thigh has doubled in size. I've been wearing compression garments ,Ted hoes..tried walking it made it worse.. tried elevating it helps a little bit..

Going stir crazy being Stuck in bed not being able to do anything..

I did a total of 6 days. Five ICU and one on the regular floor. Still going home with one JP bomb, In my left hip. It sure did feel great to be home.
