This year’s recipient of the IMS/Copic Physician Humanitarian Award is Craig Bottke, MD. Dr. Bottke is an orthopedic surgeon with Great River Health who, over the past 18 months, has worked to establish Burlington's first free clinic, City Hope Community Clinic.

The Physician Humanitarian Award recognizes an Iowa physician for volunteer medical service and contributions to the community rooted in human dignity, social justice, and compassion. The recipient designates a $10,000 donation from Copic to a health care related 501(c)(3) organization within Iowa. Dr. Bottke has designated this donation to City Hope Community Clinic.
