Myra Waltersdorf, RN

Meet the new Director of Assisted Living!

Myra has been a nurse for 15 years and has worked in assisted living for 12 years. Before becoming a nurse she was a CNA/CMA for 17 years. Her whole career she has specialized in geriatric care.

Her favorite part about working here is the relationships with residents and staff. She is excited for the improvements and transformations taking place around campus.

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her children and 13 grandchildren. Her grandchildren are in lots of sports activities. When she is not with family, she spends time with her husband in their favorite vacation spot-St. Augustine, Florida

We are happy you are here, and you have already made a huge impact to the Assisted Living! Make sure to say hi if you see her around campus!

⭐𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭: 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧 ⭐

Susan was born in December of 1949, in Sioux City, Iowa. She attended Iowa State University and majored in Home Economics where she met her late husband Tim Doran who worked for the SCS-Soil Conservation service. They were married in 1971. They two had two children, Liz and Becky and four grandchildren Isla, Ava, Aden and Mabel. Susan enjoys Sewing and crocheting and traveling. Susan has visited many places. She mentions that she once went on a two-week vacation that turned into three months. While she was away, she visited Europe, Germany, France, Spain and Switzerland. Susan enjoys meeting and getting to know all her neighbors here at the Gardens!
