Community health centers across the country rely on "contract pharmacies" — local pharmacies that help patients fill 340B‑discounted prescriptions close to home. Many neighboring states have already passed laws to safeguard these vital partnerships, and Iowans deserve the same protections.

Access to 340B contract pharmacies means Iowans can choose the pharmacy that works best for them, support rural and local pharmacies, and keep affordable medications within reach.

Iowa legislators have the power to protect that choice. Sign up for VoterVoice to advocate for 340B today at VoterVoice.net/IOWAPCA/home.

Over the past three years, the number of Iowa youth experiencing behavioral health conditions has doubled—from 20% to nearly 40%.

Through an initiative with the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, the Iowa PCA is working with Classroom Clinic and Hazel Health to bring school-based, virtual mental health services to students across the state.

The 340B Drug Pricing Program allows patients of CHCs and other covered entities to receive affordable, life-saving prescription drugs. We're advocating to protect this vital program and the Iowans who rely on it.

The 340B program strengthens local care, lowers costs, and improves health outcomes across our state — and Iowa legislators have the power to ensure it stays that way.

Join us in advocating for 340B by signing up for VoterVoice today at VoterVoice.net/IOWAPCA/home.

Happy National Pharmacist Day! 💊🎉

Did you know many of Iowa’s community health centers offer affordable, same-day, in-house pharmacy services? This unique benefit allows patients to leave their appointments with medications in hand, supporting better outcomes and healthier Iowans.

Thank you, pharmacists, for the essential care you provide every day!

The Iowa Primary Care Association

The Iowa Primary Care Association (Iowa PCA) has provided technical assistance and training to Iowa’s community health centers to support their ongoing commitment to provide quality, affordable primary and preventive health care to meet community needs since 1988.

The Iowa PCA is a non-profit membership association comprised of 13 community health centers and one migrant health program and is recognized as the trusted voice on healthcare, particularly concerning vulnerable populations. These organizations collectively serve more than 226,000 Iowans each year through over 800,000 patient visits.

Our work focuses on our mission of enhancing community health centers’ capacity to care with a vision of equity for all.
