We are a privately owned sports medicine facility that offers a variety of athletic therapy services. We offer individualized programs focusing on a healthy lifestyle, regardless of age and skill level. We provide members of our community with care that was once available only to the collegiate and professional athlete. We bring that quality of care to the past, present, and future athlete. Everyone who wants to improve their fitness, lose weight, or just feel healthier through exercise is an athlete. All athletes are at risk for injury as they progress through training. We are here to make sure those injuries do not create a roadblock for you.

About Us
The Athletic Training Room, LLC is a sports medicine practice serving the Des Moines area. We provide comprehensive care to athletes and active individuals through direct patient services and outreach athletic training programs for high schools and youth sports organizations across Iowa.

Position Overview
We're seeking a full-time Athletic Trainer to work with a semi-professional team, a local high school, and youth sports organizations. This role offers a dynamic schedule that varies by season, including some evenings and weekends. Off-season hours are flexible with options for remote work or clinic-based responsibilities.

We successfully concluded our coverage of the National Senior Games this week! Our incredible team delivered 1,750 hours of athletic training services across 12 days and 26 venues, with 47 dedicated athletic trainers ensuring exceptional medical support for all participating athletes. Grateful for every AT who contributed to this outstanding effort!

This morning was the triathlon for the senior athletes of the National Senior Games!
Due to the accumulation of rain we have gotten, levels in the water made it not feasible to hold the swimming portion of the event.

Athletes were changed to a:
1 Mile Run
20k Bike
5k Run

It was a beautiful morning on August 1st for this event. Everyday these athletes have been an inspiration to everyone and today was no exception.

What a fun event today! Athletes did a 5k time trial bike race outside of The this morning!
It started off as a slick ride, but athletes sure did enjoy a cool morning compared to what many have been competing in.

The National Senior Games have officially kicked off!
A week and a half of activity for 12,000 senior athletes right here in Des Moines.
Day 1 morning started with a 5k road race at the Iowa State Fairgrounds with 500 athletes.
We are so grateful to provide our athletic training services to these inspirational athletes participating in the .

We traveled down to Memphis, Tennessee this weekend with to provide athletes pre and post-game treatments as well as on the field injury evaluations during the tournament.

The weather wasn’t great, but that didn’t stop us from having a great time with the staff, athletes, and families of Iowa’s ODP teams!

Company Description

The Athletic Training Room, LLC in Ankeny, IA, is dedicated to providing sports medicine services to athletes of all ages and ability levels. We provide athletic trainers for local high schools, youth sporting events, and large athletic events in central Iowa. We also provide direct patient care in our clinic in Ankeny, with an emphasis on injury evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention. This is a small business owned and operated by athletic trainers.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Athletic Trainer at The Athletic Training Room, LLC in Ankeny, IA. This position will be primarily for a local high school, with the rest of the time spent working remote or in the clinic to build up a client base. In the high school setting, you will be responsible for game and practice coverage, as well as injury prevention, evaluation and treatment for the student-athletes. In the clinic, you will develop personalized injury prevention programs, corrective exercise programs, and injury treatment plans. This athletic training position will also be responsible for a semi-professional soccer team in Des Moines. There is flexibility with this position, and the role can be adapted to your strengths as an athletic trainer.

Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Athletic Training
BOC certified Athletic Trainer
License to practice in the state of Iowa
CPR/AED certification
Experience in developing and implementing rehabilitation programs
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

We just wrapped up 11 days of covering the AAU Junior Olympics at Drake Stadium, the RecPlex, and the Wellmark YMCA! We provided athletic training service for over 12,000 athletes from across the country!
