We have partnered with Urbandale School District to offer both Safe@Home and Babysitting Essentials with CPR this fall. The following dates for these classes are as follows:

Babysitting Essentials with CPR

Saturday 09/27/25 from 9:30am-4:00pm

Saturday 12/06/2025 from 9:30am-4:00pm

Safe@Home

Thursday 10/02/2025 from 5:30pm-7:00pm

Thursday 12/11/2025 from 5:30pm-7:00pm

At this time, these are the only classes we will offer for SafeSitter. If your child is not an Urbandale student, they are still able to register for these classes at no additional cost. Classes will be held at the Urbandale High School Media Center - 7111 Aurora Avenue, Urbandale, IA 50322. 😆😆😆I guess it’s time to schedule a blood pressure screening

Arteries can stiffen and narrow as we age, making it harder for your heart to pump blood through your veins. Kinda like when your foot gets stuck in your skinny jeans.

Keep an eye on your blood pressure to make sure your heart isn’t working too hard. Below 120/80 is ideal.

What symptoms do you think of for a heart attack? Most likely you think of chest pain or pressure, right? Universally this is true but women can have less obvious warning signs.

Including:
🚨 Chest pain, but not always
🚨Pain or pressure in the lower chest or upper abdomen
🚨Jaw, neck or upper back pain
🚨Nausea or vomiting
🚨Shortness of breath
🚨Fainting
🚨Feeling a cold sweat
🚨Indigestion
🚨Extreme fatigue
