Do you have a favorite Saint? Today, we celebrate All Saints' Day, honoring the extraordinary lives of all the saints whose compassion, courage, and unwavering faith continue to inspire us!
On All Saints' Day, Catholics around the world attend mass and gather at cemeteries to pray and honor the deceased. This tradition dates back to the earliest days of the Church in ancient Rome. By honoring the saints, we honor God Who made them holy. Let us offer prayers and remembrance for all the faithful departed, whose lives and examples continue to guide us today.
“Almighty ever-living God, by whose gift we venerate in one celebration the merits of all the Saints, bestow on us, we pray, through the prayers of so many intercessors, an abundance of the reconciliation with you for which we earnestly long. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.”
May all you Holy Saints of God, pray for us!
