About 𝟐 𝐭𝐨 𝟓 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 have what is medically called insufficient glandular tissue

We often say less than 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞
Because bodies exist on a spectrum not a pass or fail system

Milk can come in hormonally
Yet volume may stay lower due to limited milk making tissue not effort

More pumping does not create new tissue
Support plans focus on baby growth bonding and parent wellbeing

Partial breastfeeding is still breastfeeding

What I say as a lactation consultant that may surprise you

Let me say this clearly.
You do not have to breastfeed in a textbook position to be successful.

Those traditional holds cradle cross cradle football are tools not rules. They were created to teach concepts not to confine your body.

Here is what actually matters
Your baby is comfortable
Milk is transferring
Your body feels supported
You can breathe and relax

If that looks like side lying in bed
Laid back on the couch
Baby upright on your chest
Or something that feels natural to your body and your baby

That is still good lactation care.

I teach families how to listen to their bodies and their babies not just copy a pose. Comfort builds confidence. Confidence supports milk flow. And relaxed feeding supports longevity.

You are allowed to find your own rhythm.
You are allowed to adjust.
You are allowed to do what works in your real life.

This is lactation support that fits real families.

Tips for a pain free latch

Tips for a painfree latch
1. Skin to skin, ALLOW baby to face towards their food aka your breast
2. Ni**le angled up in the air, think of a rocket 🚀 pointing upwards.
3. The Landing spot is the roof of the mouth not bullseyes 🎯
4. A Pull/tug sensation is normal.. pinching is not
