“Eclipse Energies Are Already Stirring—Here’s What I Felt”

I have already begun to feel the energy of this impending Lunar Eclipse. Through the years of doing this sacred work, I’ve learned that I often feel the collective energies intensely up to a week in advance—almost as if Spirit is preparing me for the beautiful souls who will soon cross my path.

Yesterday, that energy hit me hard. Nothing was “wrong” in my life, yet I was overwhelmed with emotion—sadness I hadn’t touched in a very long time. I knew I needed solitude, so I went to the beach to ground and spend time with “Mother Gulf” (the Gulf of America).

But she wasn’t as inviting as usual. Her shores were covered in seaweed and tiny black jellies. Disappointment flooded my already tender soul. Still, the sun kissed my skin, the breeze softened my heart, and in meditation I asked her: “Please, make a little space for me.” And she did—clearing a patch of water where I could step in and be cleansed.

In that moment, I realized how alike we were. She was purging her seaweed, just as I had come to purge my sadness. She was still beautiful in her essence—and that helped me see the beauty in my own emotions. We don’t always need to explain or control our feelings. Sometimes we just need to sit with them, honor them, and trust that the answers will come in divine timing.

This is exactly the medicine of a Lunar Eclipse: release, reflection, and remembering your soul’s truth.
