One test result. One phone call. And suddenly, I was spiraling.

HPV is the most common STI in the world, yet no one talks about what happens when you actually get diagnosed. Until now.

In this episode of What the Health, I’m sharing my own experience—the panic, the shame, the awkward “so, uh… I have HPV” conversation with my boyfriend, and the LEEP procedure I never saw coming. If you’ve ever had an abnormal Pap, heard the words “high-risk strain,” or just want to know what the hell is going on with your cervix, this one’s for you.

HPV isn’t rare. It isn’t something to be ashamed of. And it’s time we start talking about it.

She was 12. A family member assaulted and violated her innocent body. 6 weeks later she was told her only option was to carry the pregnancy to term.

She wasn't old enough to drive.
She wasn't old enough to vote.
But Texas told her that she was old enough to carry her rapist's child inside her 12 year old body

Her family pleaded for help.
She begged for other options.
Any option.
The law said no.

No discussion.
No exceptions.
No escape.

They called it God’s will. They called it a blessing. They called it morality.

But let’s call it what it really is: control. And nothing controls people more than religion. For decades, lawmakers have used religion as a shield, morality as a weapon, and the legal system as a tool to strip people of their rights. They aren’t protecting anyone—they’re forcing suffering onto our most vulnerable and calling it righteousness.

This isn’t about faith. This is about power

And if you think they’ll stop here, you’re not paying attention

They told us they just wanted ‘common-sense restrictions.’........Then they overturned Roe.

They told us they’d leave it up to the states.......Now they’re coming for states that chose to protect abortion.

They swore they cared about ‘women’s health.’......And now, they’re trying to take away one of the safest, most effective abortion options we have.

Because if they can’t control your clinic, they’ll control your pharmacy. If they can’t criminalize doctors, they’ll criminalize the medicine. If they can’t force you into pregnancy the old fashioned way, they’ll find "another" way

And if you think this doesn’t affect you, think again.
