Teeth grinding? ADHD? Allergies? Consider the quality of the sleep.

These “conditions” are often linked to poor breathing during sleep. When the airway is restricted, the body fights to keep us alive and breathing at night by grinding and bodily movements - how do the sheets look in the morning?!

Through airway-focused orthodontics, we’re already seeing improvements — his grinding has resolved, he’s waking with his mouth closed, and his sleep quality has improved as treatment continues. Nasal breathing not only improves facial growth, but it also helps kids get more growth hormone and keeps their blood pressure down.

Straight teeth are great, but without knowing why they were crooked from the get go can increase the risk of relapse.

Form will always follow function, so no matter how straight the teeth are, if the tongue isn’t swallowing in an optimal way, or if the patient is mouth breathing during sleep, the crooked teeth will likely resurface over the years to come.
