Back in the soaproom this morning 😀 unmolding, cutting and stamping the bars poured just before I left for the holiday🏝️

Mostly restocks of your favorites right now 🧼 along with oodles of Candy Hearts coming mid January!! 🩷💜💛🧡💚

In doing the math, I averaged a half batch of soap (28 bars) each and every day of 2025 😳 Which means I’m also calculating and planning what production will look like this year 🤔 Just outside of this photo is 3 batches (168 bars) of “snow” left for the Winter Wonderland bars, so this next week my first goal is to begin pouring for the 2026 holiday season ❄️😆

As for your favorites, be watching all month long as they begin to trickle back into stock!🙌🏼

Soapmaking will always be my favorite 🤩 And this past year, I was blessed to make over 10,000 bars 🧼

Since 2020, over 42,000 bars of soap have washed hands and bodies all across the United States 🇺🇸 I pour my heart and soul into each one of these soaps, and I pray you forever feel that love when using them 🥰

A quick recharge in the sun☀️

Temps have been all over the place in Florida this week, but we made the most of it 🙌🏼 Beach days, shopping, a visit to the Tampa Aquarium, and even some tattoos (well… not for Margo, of course 😉)

Tomorrow we head back to the snow ❄️ Short and sweet, but so very appreciated 🥰 I’m looking forward to being back in the shop later this week!

♻️Refilling is all about reducing waste — and around here, that often starts with a jar♻️

Our donated jar shelf exists so no one has to skip refilling just because they forgot a container 🥰and free jars are always available for customers who need one while shopping our refillery 💚

Have extra jars at home? Sharing them helps:

✨ keep glass out of the landfill
✨ make low-waste shopping more accessible
✨ support a reuse-before-recycle mindset

If you’re donating jars, please make sure they’re:

✔️ fully washed and dried
✔️ completely free of labels and glue

This step is important — when our staff has to wash or scrape jars, it takes time away from serving customers (and unfortunately doesn’t make the jars “free” 😉). Clean jars help us keep refilling efficient, safe, and sustainable for everyone 🙌🏼 and going forward we’ll be a little more choosy on what we accept to ensure we’re not becoming the main recycling center 😅

The last batch of soap in 2025 was poured early Saturday morning 🧼 just before my little fam left on a jet plane ✈️ And although I haven’t had a chance to reflect on numbers for the year, I know SO. MUCH. SOAP. was made 💫

2025 was a year of huge growth, and to be honest it wasn’t in sales 💵 It started so heavy and hard 😮‍💨 I spent the winter wondering what on Earth I was doing and why. So much inner reflection last winter, I thought I might be losing my mind 😩

But as spring emerged 🌼 so did my spirits. And as I welcomed 3 new people into the space this year, their continued support in running the shop helps keep me grounded and hopeful 🤔 I feel myself entering 2026 with joy and excitement for what’s next!

To all of my soap friends ✨ near and far, old and new, wholesale and retail, thanks always for being on this journey with me 🙏🏼 My life is a beautifully wild ride 🎢 and I’m thankful to share it with all of you!

Welcome to Nature’s Embrace Soap Company!

I’m Heidi; owner and maker at Nature’s Embrace Soap Company, wife, mother, yogi and lover of all things nature. I live in Detroit Lakes, MN with my husband and three children.

My passion for creating bar soap started over a decade ago (2008) after my Mom and I ordered supplies to make candles. After finishing the candlemaking, I had leftover oils and wondered what else I could do with them. A quick online search landed me in cold-process soap and I was immediately interested. After some brief research, I poured my first batch and to my surprise it turned out! AND I was hooked! Before I knew it, I had more soap than we had a need for and that’s when I started Nature’s Embrace.

Selling both retail and wholesale until 2011 when I laid down my stick blender to focus on family, it wasn’t until 9 years later, in the first few weeks of the COVID-19 stay at home order, that life would slow down and I'd realize where my heart belonged; business ownership and soapmaking.

I’m so excited to once again offer cold-process bar soaps to YOU with the launch of our website in Summer 2020! The soaps to come will be nothing like you’ve seen from me before. Think premium quality ingredients derived from nature ONLY, minimal packaging and of course gorgeous visual appeal!
