We had the pleasure of welcoming musician Tim Eggebraaten to Ecumen Detroit Lakes, and what an incredible afternoon it was!

Tim performed classics from the 50s, 60s, old country/western, and rock—bringing Elvis, Johnny Cash, and so many resident favorites to life. Along with the music, he shared laughter and comedy, making the experience even more memorable.

We are so grateful for Tim sharing his amazing talent with us. Thank you for bringing joy, music, and smiles to our community!

On Monday, the American Legion Auxiliary from Post 15 visited to recognize our veterans at Ecumen Detroit Lakes. They handed out beautiful cards, and we all joined in singing each military branch’s song. It was a wonderful tribute, and we’re so grateful they were able to do this for our residents. Thank you!

We are so grateful for the outpouring of kindness and donations we’ve received for our residents over the past week.

-Northwestern Bank and the Lakes Breakfast Rotary for the Roses for Rotary Program.
-The Detroit Lakes Tribune for their generous rose donations through Rotary.

Your generosity has brought so many smiles to our residents and staff. Thank you for brightening our days and filling our community with love.

We had such a great time celebrating Halloween last week! 🎃 Residents enjoyed a festive Halloween social, complete with their favorite ice cream treats. Later in the week, we got creative decorating pumpkin cookies — and of course, enjoying them afterward! It was a week full of fun, laughter, and sweet treats.

We are so grateful to everyone who helped make the Halloween event a huge success! A special thank you to PRO Resources in Detroit Lakes for your generous donation and to Central Market - Detroit Lakes for providing candy for the trick or treaters! We also appreciate our community and team members who made contributions for the event!

Our residents had an absolute blast handing out candy to over 300 trick-or-treaters and seeing all the smiles!

What an amazing afternoon! The Red River Valley Veterans Concert Band came to play for us, and they were fantastic! They performed beautiful music, honored our veterans as we sang along to each branch’s anthem, and wrapped things up with some lively polka tunes — and, of course, the Chicken Dance! 🐔💃 (Now you know why we’re wearing chicken hats!)

It was such a fun and memorable time for everyone!

We had a great time celebrating our Oktoberfest Social here at Ecumen Detroit Lakes!

Residents chose their favorite foods for the event, and our Culinary Director delivered with beautiful charcuterie boards that everyone loved. We also had wonderful support from our registered dietitian and our always-helpful Resident Assistants.

Great food, great company, and lots of socializing — it was a fantastic time for all!
