My following passions in nursing: women's health, education & health equity. I've started a new journey, cannabis nursing (yes it's a real thing) and what a perfect way to combine all my passions!
Growing up during the "War on Drugs" era, cannabis has always been a stigma. Until I started learning about the endocannabinoid system and the health benefits of cannabis. We need to start recognizing this plant as medicine and how it can bring health equity to patients. As Dr. Rachel Knox says, "social equity is the vehicle and health equity is the destination."
