The National Arab American Medical Association: Next Generation is the First Arab American Medical Association in the Nation.

Lebanon is currently experiencing a humanitarian emergency that has resulted in widespread displacement and increased demand for healthcare, shelter, and essential services.

Amel Association, a Lebanese humanitarian organization with decades of experience in crisis response, is providing support through health consultations, hygiene kit distribution, mental health services, and other relief efforts across its centers and mobile medical units.

Community support helps ensure that these services can continue reaching individuals and families affected by the crisis.

Donations can be made through Amel Association’s GoFundMe to support their ongoing humanitarian response.

Chapter Spotlight: NAAMA NextGen at The University of Texas at Austin! 🤘🏻

This chapter has hosted an exciting lineup of events, including a heart dissection workshop, chapter board meetings, NAAMA NextGen info sessions, and chapter tabling to connect with students on campus. Members have also built community through social and wellness events such as a vision board social, Black Swan yoga social, bracelet-making competition, and bonfire night.

Looking ahead, the UT Austin chapter plans to host even more initiatives, including a We Are Blood blood drive, Austin Arab Run Club social, UH COM tour, refugee welcome kit assembly event, guest speakers, and more.

We’re proud to showcase the incredible work our chapters are doing, and look forward to seeing even more chapters thrive within NAAMA NextGen this year!

NAAMA NextGen members are invited to apply for a two-week summer internship in Lebanon with Amel Association! Participants will have the opportunity to volunteer with community programs, shadow Lebanese physicians, support research projects, and explore Lebanon through sightseeing and cultural activities. Applications are due January 4, 2026, and more information is available at naamanextgen.com.
