NextGen Member Spotlight: Faid Jaafar 🌟
Faid Jaafar is a graduate of San Diego State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. She will be joining the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA this fall as an incoming M1.
A dedicated leader within NAAMA NextGen, Faid served as co-founder and co-president of the SDSU chapter and as National Chapter Development Chair (2022-2023), supporting the growth and mentorship of chapters nationwide. She also led a $2.5K donation drive and contributed to numerous service and community initiatives.
Faid has also completed research on the cardiopulmonary effects of va**ng. She is a published co-author in the Journal of the American Heart Association and has presented her research at multiple conferences. She is passionate about cardiology, nephrology, and improving care for underserved communities.
Outside of her work, she enjoys rollerblading, tennis, traveling, and watching soccer (FC Barcelona fan!).
