At the NAAMA Michigan Gala, we interviewed Dr. Karameh Hawash-Kuemmerle, pediatric neurologist at Boston Children’s Hospital and co-founder of . She spoke about how genocide is fundamentally a public health crisis, and offered guidance for students on stepping into advocacy and using their medical training to speak out against injustice. Dr. Hawash-Kuemmerle was also honored at the gala with the Arab American Women in Medicine Award for her leadership and unwavering commitment to humanitarian advocacy.
