What a better time to post about the mission for my business than when Iβm in a storm mentally?
Cheers to transparency:
This is what The Elijah Bag does! It tells my story of mental health struggles and inspires others to find the light inside to keep pushing another day. It embraces aesthetic beauty but also reminds us that itβs ok to have dark days but find the light inside, the gratitude for life, to keep going another day.
Recently itβs been a struggle seeing the light due to my circumstances but every day I wake up and keep pressing forward. Purse production is simply on hold due to financial hardships Iβm facing. Itβs roughly $500 just to get a SMALL sample bag made and shipped here and then you have to sample it to see what changes need to be made and the changes are going to cost you more. I see why Chanel and Gucci and other designers of real leather luxury purses charge so much. Aside from the paper loss Iβm experiencing, Iβm a single mom plus diabetic all while trying to avoid a manic episode or panic attack with so much stress falling on my plate.
You know what Iβm going to do though? FIND THE LIGHT. Find the gratitude. I am still here. I am still with food, shelter, and an amazing village loving and supporting me. I am abundantly blessed in ways that money canβt buy and I refuse to let any circumstance stand in my way of my purpose and destiny here on earth. Iβm here to not only find the light but be the light, bring the light, and keep shining not only for me and my circle but to inspire others to never give up the battle. The only way you lose is if you quit and at this point, idk what that even means! Iβm too deep in. π― all of this is to say, Iβm not ok but I will be ok and this temporary struggle will pass and when it doesβ¦ my light will shine bright and my designs will be sold all over the world spreading hope and love!π«Άπ½π β¨
God bless you all.
