I am proud to Co-chair the OBI initiative at Providence/HFH in Southfield. I have been a member of this OB team for 30 years. I am so pleased to share that in the time I've been involved we have reduced the hospital c/section rate from 31% for labor dystocia to 17%!
And I have reduced my personal primary c/section rate from 16% to 9%!❣️ The national average is 32%, so this is great progress!

Thank you to my colleagues, our residents, nurses, and patients for believing in the importance of preventing the 1st c/section! The first c/section typically leads to more c/sections for subsequent pregnancies and increases the risks to Mom and baby. So, push Mommas, push! You've got this and we've got you! ♥️

Please vote!!!! It's Election Day and I am proud to cast my vote for the best candidate in the Presidential race - Vice President Kamala Harris! As an Ob/Gyn for almost 30 years, I know the critical importance of women's health care. Women deserve the same quality and caliber of health care as men. We are not second-class citizens, property of the government, or unable to make decisions for ourselves, and we should never be treated as if we are any of those things! We are CEOs, Doctors, Judges, Entrepreneurs, Housewives, Teachers, Students, Carpenters, Engineers, Plumbers, Social Workers, etc.! We are powerful, prayerful, determined, and focused!
