APTA-MI Annual Conference Speaker Spotlight:

Jessica Gibson, PT, DPT is a physical therapist at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. She graduated from SVSU with her BA in psychology, and from the UofM-Flint with her DPT. Dr. Gibson completed the graduate certificate in oncology rehabilitation program through Oakland University. She has worked in inpatient rehabilitation and acute care settings in Michigan, Colorado and California. Dr. Gibson is currently the rehabilitation research coordinator at Henry Ford Hospital. Her areas of interest include prehabilitation in oncology and surgical populations, acute oncology rehabilitation, outcomes research, and how to best support patients living with and beyond cancer.

Jasmine Golden is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Oncological PT and a Certified Lymphedema Therapist. She graduated from The University of Nottingham, UK, in 2011 and has worked as domestically and internationally in acute care and oncology. She is a Clinical Specialist Physical Therapist at Baylor, Scott & White in Dallas, Texas and a faculty member in the Acute Care and Oncology Residency programs. Additionally, she is an adjunct faculty member at the University of St.
Augustine and is currently enrolled in the Ph.D. program in Human Movement Sciences at Oakland University.
