Meridian in Michigan (Meridian) is a government-sponsored health plan whose goal is to help individuals live better, healthier lives by providing high quality care that is both easy and accessible. We get care for the whole you from head to toe, including vision, preventive care, and mental health support. We get you the care you need, close to home with our large network of providers. We get you rewarded for healthy activities. Meridian is Michigan's largest Medicaid HMO, providing health care to Medicaid beneficiaries through a contract with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. Meridian's affiliates include MeridianComplete a Medicare-Medicaid health plan, Ambetter from Meridian a commercial plan available through the Health Insurance Marketplace, and WellCare a Medicare Advantage plan. Happy Halloween! 🎃🍬

Meridian showed up in full festive spirit by taking part in five Trunk-or-Treat events across Michigan! We teamed up with several amazing organizations, including City of Saginaw Government, Healthy Homes Coalition of West Michigan, Jackson County Parks, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Southwest Michigan, and Adams/Butzel Complex - DPRD to help create safe, fun, and memorable experiences for kids and families in our communities we serve.

Trunk-or-Treats bring together hundreds (sometimes thousands!) of people in just a few hours, offering a unique opportunity to connect and share health resources in a relaxed and exciting setting. We had a blast getting to chat with members, hand out treats, and being part of the Halloween fun in each city!

We hope everyone that celebrates has a Happy Halloween! Don’t forget to check your candy and brush your teeth after enjoying sweet treats!

Today, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services announced that due to the federal shutdown, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits will be paused in November until further notice. In Michigan, roughly 1.4 million people rely on SNAP, which serves as a critical lifeline to help families put nutritious food on the table.
