Today, DWIHN President & CEO James White stood alongside Bishop Charles Ellis III of , Mayor Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison and other city leaders to break ground on the Sanctuary at Brewster.

This trailblazing initiative will create stable housing for youth aging out of foster care who still need guidance, support, and opportunity. The 52-unit apartment community will open doors to brighter futures, connecting residents to DWIHN’s wraparound mental health, behavioral health and supportive services while reducing the risk of homelessness, addiction, and incarceration.

Join us in congratulating Bishop Ellis on this transformative project and the hope it brings to Detroit’s young people.
