Amber has been a beloved member of our dental family for 9 wonderful years! She originally came to our office through a kind referral from her grandparents, who are also long-time patients of Dr. Hill! We love keeping the whole family smiling!

During her most recent routine check-up, our team had a wonderful time catching up with Amber and learned some incredible news:

She got married this past summer in August! She and her spouse celebrated with a beautiful honeymoon in Japan!

She recently returned from an incredible trip to Ireland, where she explored the beautiful country and had so much fun meeting family overseas and delving into her ancestry.

We absolutely love welcoming new smiles to the Detroit Caring Dentistry family, and this week we want to give a huge shout-out to our newest patient, Ka’Miya Greene!

Ka’Miya had a wonderful first visit with our team. She was so brave and did such a fantastic job during her appointment! We couldn't stop smiling as she left the office beaming with excitement because her next stop was McDonald’s for a well-deserved Happy Meal!

We also want to recognize her proud father, Keyoa Greene, who did an excellent job preparing Ka’Miya for her first dental check-up. Thank you, Keyoa, for trusting us with your daughter's oral health!

Say hello to our sweet patient of the week, Jonah Skinner!

We absolutely love having Jonah and his mother as part of the Detroit Caring Dentistry family. It's been just a year, but they've already found their new dental home with us. We remember how quickly they felt at ease in our office, which proves that a calm and kind atmosphere really makes a difference!

Jonah is having a milestone week: he just started pre-school AND he’s going to his very first show at the iconic Fisher Theatre tomorrow!

It was a genuine pleasure to welcome Nick Shillace for his first visit with us, and we are delighted to have him join the Detroit Caring Dentistry family. From the moment he walked through our doors, he brought a great energy, and we had a truly fantastic time getting to know him not just as a patient, but as a valued member of our community.

When Nick isn't being a stellar patient, he is a dedicated and talented musician! He is an integral member of the Post Imperial Jazz Band, a group known for its truly unique and captivating sound - a mix of traditional jazz, folk, Western Swing, and the rich musical ephemera of Americana. This unique blend is something you definitely won't want to miss. If you're looking to catch Nick and the band live, be sure to mark your calendars: they will be performing at The Bowlero on November 7th.

After his appointment, he graciously shared these kind words: "Dr. Hill and his staff are thorough and gentle. It's the best experience I've ever had at the dentist!" Hearing that we were able to provide the best dental experience he has ever had is the highest compliment we could receive and reinforces our commitment to thorough, gentle, and compassionate care.

Meet our incredible new patient, Meika Tucker! When she isn't lighting up our office with her smile, Meika is a prolific author! Meika recently released her 29th and 30th books, a truly amazing lifetime achievement!

Reverend Celia has been a part of the Detroit Caring Dentistry family for over 15 years, trusting her smile to Dr. Hill. She shared that she feels safe and secure with him taking care of her teeth, which is the greatest compliment we could receive.

Her trust in Dr. Hill's care is so strong that she has recommended countless family and friends to our practice over the years. We especially love seeing her daughter, Ramona McCallum, and her wonderful grandchildren—Tylia, Rania, and Cairo—who are all now part of the Detroit Caring Dentistry family! It is truly an honor to care for multiple generations of the McCallum family.

We'd love to introduce you to our patient of the week, the lovely Kori!

Kori recently had her very first dental visit, and what a joy it was to have her! She was a natural in the dental chair, and we're so glad that our chairs reminded her of a fun carousel ride. Kori also enjoyed a bit of coloring and left with a big smile and a brand-new toothbrush!

Kori's mom, Courtney, also has a special history with us—she was first introduced to our office when she was Kori's age! It's so heartwarming to see the importance of great dental care passed down from generation to generation.

Courtney has since brought her husband and son to our practice, and we're so proud to be the dental home for this wonderful family.

This week, Detroit Caring Dentistry is delighted to shine a spotlight on one of our longtime patients, Marcia Ward-Tumpkin!

Marcia has been a part of our dental family for over 30 years, and she shared with our team how much our staff has meant to her over the years. Even when life took her to different places, Marcia always made her way back home to Detroit for her dental care because of the comfort and trust she feels with our team. Stories like hers make us proud of the warm and lasting relationships we have built with our patients.

Marcia and her husband, Alan, are Pastors at Life Church in Southfield. They were recently awarded a grant from the Lily Foundation to take a three-month sabbatical, they were encouraged by their pastors to pursue what makes their hearts sing. For Marcia and Alan, that meant lots of travel, rest, and quality time together. They returned feeling blessed, renewed, and ready to embrace the season of Fall with gratitude and joy.

We’re so thankful to have Marcia as a cherished part of our Detroit Caring Dentistry family. Patients like her remind us that dentistry is about more than smiles—it’s about building lifelong connections.
