A New Creation LLC is looking for individuals with lived recovery experience who want to make a real difference in someone’s life.
This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position providing one-on-one peer support in the community (not an office job). You will meet members in real-life settings and help them build independence, confidence, and stability.
💬 What you’ll do:
• Support individuals in recovery from mental health and/or substance use
• Help with daily living skills, community activities, and goals
• Encourage healthy routines and reduce isolation
• Be someone consistent they can trust and relate to
📍 Must live in Devils Lake, or nearby communities
💰 Pay: $20–$25 per billable hour
🕒 Flexible scheduling — build your own caseload
✔ Must have:
• Lived experience in recovery (or family recovery experience)
• Driver’s license & reliable vehicle with insurance
• Ability to pass background check
• Willingness to complete ND Peer Support certification (we guide you)

**A New Creation** offers *FREE support services* in Fargo, Devils Lake, and surrounding areas through **Community Connect, Free Through Recovery, and 1915(i) Medicaid services**.

We help individuals who:
• Are in recovery from substance use
• Are on probation/parole or involved with the justice system
• Need help finding housing
• Need rides to appointments, court, or treatment
• Need help accessing benefits and community resources
• Feel stuck and don’t know where to start

This is **not counseling and not therapy** —
This is real-life support from people who will walk beside you.

✔ Peer Support (someone in recovery helping you)
✔ Care Coordination
✔ Help with housing, jobs, and benefits
✔ Transportation to recovery-related needs
✔ Support after treatment or incarceration

**Most services are covered — no cost to you if eligible.**

You don’t need to be sober yet.
You just need to be willing.

February brings us into a new month, and with that comes many new challenges and opportunities, and a new ministry sponsorship as well.

This month Grounded In Faith will be supporting a local ministry out of Devils Lake, called A New Creation. A New Creation is the birth child of Cheri and Jason, who took the journey God allowed them to go through and use it to be a blessing to others.

A New Creation is a ministry LLC that receives state support and is a provider for
• Free Through Recovery (FTR)
• Community Connect
• 1915(i) Medicaid services

A New Creation takes the hard road traveled by Cheri and Jason to be a light to those trapped in the darkness of addiction, and offers support, love and guidance to help bring them through it and into a place of freedom.

They are a Christ centered organization that knows the struggle so many face from first hand experience, and stands as a testimony to the redemptive power of the love of God and it’s transformative power in our lives.

God took what seemed like a broken and dead end and brought their family through it, restoring their marriage, lives and family, and using their story to change the lives of others.

They receive referrals from probation officers, human services, and direct applications. Once approved through the state, participants begin services with them and the life changing process can begin.

We have a participant who recently secured an apartment for herself and her 13yr old daughter, and they’ll be able to move in soon. They are starting from scratch and are in need of basic household items.

If anyone feels led to help, please reach out.
Beds/frames, mattresses, bedding/pillows
• Dresser/storage, small kitchen table/chairs
• Pots/pans, dishes, silverware, cups
• Towels/washcloths, shower curtain, bath mat
• Cleaning supplies, laundry basket, trash can/bags
• Paper products (toilet paper, paper towels)
• Basic pantry staples/grocery gift cards
• Hygiene items (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.)
