Today we worked on our letter recognition skills with a fun sorting activity! The kids were given picture cards and had to figure out which letter each picture started with. Once they said the word out loud and identified the beginning sound, they placed the card into the matching letter cup.

They did such a great job taking their time, listening for the first sound, and helping each other think through tricky ones. This activity helped strengthen their letter knowledge, phonics skills, and critical thinking — all while having fun! 😊📚

For today’s activity, the friends worked on counting and number recognition with a fun firefly theme! 🐞✨ They carefully counted how many fireflies were in each jar and then found and identified the matching number.

This activity helped strengthen their one-to-one counting skills, number recognition, and focus. They did such a great job taking their time, pointing to each firefly as they counted, and confidently choosing the correct number. I’m so proud of how hard they worked! 🌟

📚Our 3-4 Year-Olds’ First Field Trip! 📚

Our Brave Bears and Bubbly Berryflies took their very first field trip to the Driscoll Library, and it was such a special experience! The librarian read 4 fun books an different types of animals and one story about jellyfish. She then led the children in a hands-on activity where they created their own jellyfish!

The kids had an amazing time listening to stories, getting creative, and exploring a new environment. We are so proud of how well they did and can’t wait to enjoy many more field trips in the future!

The Brave Bears were all about Dragonflies! We practiced our fine motor skills using beads and pipe cleaners to create these beautiful and colorful insects. And the best part was using our imagination to make them fly in our room!
