Hello, my name is Dr. Martin Fletcher. I bring disordered lives back into order. In fact, in my practice we even label emotional suffering as “disorders.”
We diagnose “anxiety disorders”, “major depressive disorders”, “post traumatic stress disorders”, etc. But not every “disorder” has a clinical presentation. Disorder occurs in families, personal relationships, and in organizations. Sometimes it is a disrupted relationship.. It can be unmanageable job or career stress. Regardless, human beings thrive in orderly environments. Internal and external. I know that territory. I spent the early 2000’s to 2011 keeping my startup company on life support. At times it looked like I was a guaranteed success. At other times, I was desperately fundraising. In the end, I raised multiple Angel Investment rounds and two rounds of venture capital. It nearly killed me. By the end of it, I was 30 pounds overweight, depressed, and sick enough to visit my physician at least 1 to 2 times per month. Mercifully, the company failed. The dream had died. Our Culture Has It Backwards
Health is not the absence of illness. Health is a high state of being, feeling, functioning, performing, and contributing. Nothing good happened for me until I got my life in order. I stopped waiting for “worldly success” to solve my problems and instead focused on being a better person. I learned that successful people do not become healthy. Healthy people become successful. Not only do healthy people tend to find success, they feel confident during downtimes as well as while in the peaks. With my help, you will find that the world responds enthusiastically to your physical, emotional, psycho-social and spiritual health. I see that happen everyday in my patients and in myself.
