Please join us in wishing two wonderful women a very happy retirement!

Melinda Sweeney, our fearless Executive Director, has been with Regional Healthcare Foundation for the past 12 years. She has led our staff with compassion, heart, and determination, helping us strengthen our mission and better serve our community.

LeVeda Scates has dedicated an incredible 20 years to Regional Healthcare Foundation. As Program Director of our Prescription Drug Assistance Program, her commitment and care have touched countless lives and made a real difference in this community.

We have been incredibly fortunate to have both of these remarkable women as part of the Regional Healthcare Foundation, and we wish them both the very best as they begin their next chapter!

Our Story

The Dexter Community Regional Healthcare Foundation (RHF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to building healthy communities through programs and services designed to enhance overall health and wellness.

The not-for-profit corporation was previously known as the Dexter Memorial Hospital and was formed in 1964. It built and operated the hospital, which opened in August of 1968, and maintained an active medical staff until April of 1999, when the operation of the facility was leased to a corporation.

The not-for-profit corporation then changed its name and status to a Foundation. Although no longer in charge of hospital operations, the Regional Healthcare Foundation continues to promote health and wellness. Some of the current programs of the Foundation are the Prescription Drug Assistance Program and the Mother-to-Mother Program.
