This week marks a major milestone. The FDA’s recent announcement, under the leadership of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., removes outdated “black box” warnings from many hormone replacement therapies used to treat menopausal symptoms.

This change recognizes what functional and integrative providers have said for years — that hormone therapy, when used appropriately, can safely and effectively relieve symptoms like hot flashes, night sweats, sleep disruptions, and bone loss — helping restore balance to a body in transition.

By removing these warnings — once based on outdated or misinterpreted data — the FDA is acknowledging what women have always deserved: informed choice without unnecessary fear.

I had the opportunity to attend Nutridyn’s Great Lakes Conference over the weekend, enjoying the networking with 380 practitioners.
