🌟Positive self-talk builds confidence and self-esteem🌟

Words matter—especially the ones we say to ourselves. 💭
Helping kids practice positive self-talk can build confidence, resilience and overall mental well-being.

Instead of “I can’t do this,” encourage,
➡️ “I’ll try my best.”

Parents can model this too. When we swap,
➡️ “I always mess up”
for
➡️ “Mistakes help me learn,”
our kids are listening—and learning. 👂❤️

Truth #1: Ni****ne doesn’t “fix” stress — it fixes withdrawal. Looks calm, feels dependent. After a short time without ni****ne, your brain starts craving it, which can feel like irritability, restlessness, or anxiety. Using ni****ne makes those feelings fade briefly, so it seems calming—but it’s really just taking the edge off withdrawal. Contact Foster County Public Health at 701-652-3087 or visit fostercountypublichealth.com/prevention for help quitting ni****ne. (CDC)
Thanks to our friends at LaMoure County Public Health for creating this series of posts about ni****ne truths. 💚
