The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) funding will not reload November 1st.

To better understand the scope of impact, over 56,000 North Dakotans have received benefits between Oct 1 – Oct 28 of this year. That’s 1 in 16 people.

- More than 66% of SNAP participants are in families with children.
- More than 32% are in families with members who are older adults or are disabled.

Governor Armstrong announced this week that ND is providing more than $1.5 million in state funds to support food assistance programs such as covering WIC through November and funding for 450,000 pounds of food in November through Great Plains Food Bank.

But still, food banks, pantries, and soup kitchens are already overwhelmed with need. Consider making a donation of your time or treasure as we rally during this time of need.
