We hope you've all been staying cool during this heat wave ☀️ Here are some tips for walking your dog in the hot weather 🐾

- It is recommended that you walk your dog early in the morning OR late in the evening.
- Place the back of your hand on a sunny part of the pavement. If you can’t comfortably hold it there for at least ten seconds, it’s too hot!
- Go for shorter walks with less intensity.
- Bring a collapsible water bowl and a bottle of fresh, cool water.

FRIENDLY REMINDER - - - On the Fourth of July, and other days people are likely to set off fireworks, it's best to leave your pets safely indoors, preferably with a radio or TV turned on to soften jarring noises. If you're unable to leave your pet unattended at home, keep them leashed and under your direct control at all times.
