Help For Veterans, Inc. Our mission is to assist veterans in Dillon County, South Carolina, who are in need. We are all volunteers.

MISSION STATEMENT:
To help find assistance for homeless and low-income veterans in Dillon County, SC, through involvement with the local community and businesses as well as other government and national organizations. In addition, to help them obtain optimal levels of healthcare, education, and training that will enable the veterans to enter into society at a level the veterans have earned and deserve. OTHER INFORMATION:
Help For Veterans, Inc., is a 501(c)3 organization 100% of all donations will be used for Veterans in Dillon County, SC; there will be no salaries taken.

The 2026 Veterans’ Homelessness and Transition Grant application is now open!🏡

Through this grant, South Carolina Department of Veterans’ Affairs provides funding to support organizations serving South Carolina's Veterans who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless. SCDVA will award grants to organizations offering permanent housing solutions, rental and utility assistance, transitional housing, and employment support services.

Nonprofit organizations and state agencies serving Veterans are encouraged to explore eligibility requirements and submit an application.

The Palmetto Pathfinder Program, led by the South Carolina Department of Veterans’ Affairs, is hosting an upcoming Pathfinder Training Course on February 20–21, 2026, in the Charleston area.

This two-day training equips participants with the tools and knowledge needed to serve effectively as a Pathfinder.

📢The Columbia VA Regional Office, in partnership with SC Department of Veterans' Affairs, Disabled American Veterans Department of South Carolina, Veterans of Foreign Wars VFW, and American Legion, will host a Veteran Experience Action Center (VEAC) 1-on-1 Claims Clinic 🗓️March 19–21, 2026.

At this 3-day event Veterans can receive help with:
• VA disability and pension claims
• Health care enrollment
• Mental health resources
• Housing and employment support
• Survivor benefits
• Vet Center services
• Community and volunteer resources

Veterans, caregivers, and family members are encouraged to attend.

This refrigerator was picked up by Terry Morris, Justin Foxworth, and Levern Hayes who delivered it to one of Dillon County's veteran's wife on January 2, 2026. Thank you for helping one of Dillon County's veterans.
