Medicare does not cover routine physical exams, but it does cover one Medicare Annual Wellness Visit every year — and this visit helps you stay healthy longer by catching potential health concerns early.

The Medical Center of Dimmitt will be at Dimmitt ISD school campuses on November 21st to provide flu vaccines to school staff.

We are proud to partner with our local school district to help keep teachers and staff healthy throughout flu season. Thank you to all the school employees who care for our students each day, we are glad to help care for you.

November is Diabetes Awareness Month

Understanding the common signs of diabetes is crucial for early detection and effective management of this condition.

Common Symptoms of Diabetes:
Frequent urination
Intense thirst
Increased hunger, even when eating
Severe fatigue
Blurry vision
Cuts or bruises that heal slowly
Weight loss despite increased food intake (Type 1)
Tingling, pain, or numbness in the hands and feet (Type 2)

A straightforward A1C blood test at the clinic can help identify diabetes and prediabetes without requiring fasting. For individuals already diagnosed with diabetes, an A1C test every three months allows your healthcare provider to better manage your condition.
