Stand for Freedom: The People vs. Federal Overreach
The Maine cannabis community is gathering in solidarity from November 12–19 at the Bangor District Court to stand with Luke Sirois and defend the rights of every Maine caregiver, patient, and legal business owner.
Luke is facing federal prison for doing exactly what his Maine state caregiver license allows—providing plant medicine to patients. These charges are not just an attack on one man — they’re an attack on all of us, our state’s sovereignty, and the freedom we’ve fought to establish within Maine’s medical cannabis program.
This is not about Luke’s individual case — it’s about setting a precedent. If we allow this kind of federal overreach and selective prosecution to continue, then no legal caregiver or business owner in Maine is safe.
They’re not targeting the illicit market. They’re coming for you — the compliant, tax-paying, regulated small businesses who care for patients and operate within Maine’s laws.
We must stand together, shoulder to shoulder, to protect our rights, our livelihoods, and the patients who depend on us.
Bring your signs, your voices, your stories, and your unity.
✊ Stand for Freedom. Stand for Maine. Stand for the Caregivers. Stand for the Patients.
